| Basil was a much respected member of the Club having joined in April 1997. He represented Tarring Priory in a great number of matches as well as being a member of the winning Triples League team in 2002. He won the Veterans trophy on two occasions 2004 & 2008 and the Handicap Pairs in 2007. We send our deepest sympathy and condolences to his family. The funeral will take please at Worthing Crematorium on Monday 23rd January at 10.20am | |

| Six teams entered the 2011 competition. The team skipped by Wally Burrows successfully navigated their quarter final game, but succumbed to the eventual runners up in the semis. The winners of the competition skipped by Club Captain John Fairs beat off the challenge offered by Colin Kent’s four in their semi-final. The final itself was a very close contest; Pat O’Leary’s side which had Dave Robbins leading, Ray Jarvis at two and Mike Meadows playing at three were all square at 19 ends 13-13. Throughout the match, no end had allowed either side a margin of more than two shots. In the 20th end Pat’s side were holding 3 but an inspired couple of woods from John took the end and these two shots proved decisive as John’s four; Ryan Minton, Ron Cocozza, Geoff Sheldon and of course John himself took the 2011 trophy.
